The message is simple: if you have any major plans, now is the time to set them in motion, since the auspices are at their best for new enterprises. There is, however, a caveat in the text which makes it clear that any major new undertaking will have the best chance of success if its aim and your motives are, at least in part, unselfish. This is also true in terms of your personal life; you need to take a good look at how the scales of give and take are balanced. Make any adjustments that are necessary, lending more weight to the giving side, and your personal  relationships will flourish.

If you can still the endless babbling of the mind, you can confront any situation in life with equanimity. This is not the time for any impulsive actions. Live in the present and you will be able to deal more effectively with your current circumstances. If you are to take firm and decisive action you must prepare, and the best preparation is to be still. If you remain quiet inside you will be able to spot difficulties advance and be ready for them.

It is difficult to see strength in terms of weakness, but it is easier to grasp if you consider the essential concepts behind the martial arts. In most martial arts, the trick is to use the strength of your opponents against themselves, rather than try to beat them with your own force. You let your opponent come at you, watch them very carefully then, at the right moment, act with minimum effort but maximum effect. Take the same approach as you deal with your current situation. In order to realize your goals, you must find a point of inner stillness which allows you to be genuinely receptive. Then you will gain the insight to  make the right move.

At first glance, the mountain and thunder together seem to be a very powerful force indeed, but unfortunately the real strength is both trapped and sapped. The situation which you are concerned about has reached a stage where it has become weak and possibly lost its momentum. This is definitely not the time to embark on any new or large-scale enterprises because you will definitely misjudge your own capacity to deal with events. The best approach at the moment is to keep your head down and apply yourself vigorously to attending to detail. You may well find yourself out of your depth, and then the only way to deal with circumstances effectively is to be as modest and unassuming as possible.

Saturn-Uranus

The month of October starts with a friendly constellation: Venus, the lesser benefic (good fortune), is in opposition to Jupiter, the greater benefic (greater fortune), on October 1. However, don't let your senses be clouded by all this good fortune, because Mercury in Virgo, which is usually rather sober, forms an opposition to Neptune in Pisces on October 2 and could misjudge the situation. A realistic view also proves helpful further on in the month, because the quality of time in October is changeable to stormy. For the last time, the square between Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus comes into effect now, although the aspect does not become quite exact anymore. The greatest convergence occurs on October 4 with an accuracy of half a degree. This strong tension characterizes the quality of time until around the end of the month and once again makes the conflict between individual expectations and collective responsibility visible. Painful compromises and losses will be hard to avoid.

Chiron

In the days around the Full Moon of October 9, uncomfortable moments could mount up. The Moon is in conjunction with Chiron in Aries. This Full Moon brings with it a hefty dose of restlessness and impatience. Misconceived heroism, aggressive action, or naive adventurism could do considerable damage at this time. Venus is also involved, reaching the opposition to Chiron on the 10th. Consciously take time for yourself during these days and try to keep stress levels as low as possible with relaxation, yoga or exercise.

When Mars in Gemini squares Neptune on October 12, you may feel tired and hopeless. Still, try to stay focused and beware of self-pity, because it's not all over yet. With a realistic, sober attitude, much can be accomplished during this time and long-held plans can be implemented.

Scorpio

On October 23, Saturn ends its retrograde phase while trining Mercury. Venus and the Sun enter Scorpio at the same time. Everything feels a bit clearer, more urgent and also more intense now, especially during the Scorpio New Moon on October 25, which is accompanied by a solar eclipse (see below). The time of false friendliness is now over, and you should be ready to show your true colors. Power-conscious people can act accordingly now, especially on October 27, when Mercury forms a trine to Mars and a square to Pluto, just before entering Scorpio on the 29th. Jupiter also changes signs around this time, going retrograde from Aries back into Pisces. From October 28 to December 20, it will once again support the unifying aspect and perhaps bring the theme of "peace" back to the forefront. At the end of the month, Mars begins its retrograde phase on October 30, lasting until January 12, 2023. The phase of great conquests is thus over for the time being. Now it is important to secure what has been achieved, but also to critically question the goals you are fighting for.

Retrograde September

In the month of September all planets from Jupiter to Pluto are retrograde. Social developments are slowing down a bit now, and there is a welcome window of opportunity for integration. Take time for a careful analysis of what has happened in recent weeks and months before making further plans. Mercury in Libra forms an opposition to Jupiter in Aries on September 3 and a trine to Mars on the 4th. The quality of time brings us a positive and realistic mood. It is a good time for negotiations of any kind. However, since Mercury begins its retrograde phase on September 10 (until October 2), these should reach a conclusion before then if possible. On September 5, Venus moves from fiery Leo into the somewhat more discreet sign of Virgo. Consequently, love is now expressed with slightly more restraint, but the intensity of feelings may even increase, especially in the middle of the month when Venus squares Mars in Gemini on September 16. Words work wonders during these days, and a harmless flirtation could quickly turn into something more.

Full Moon

On September 10 there is a Full Moon in Pisces. The Moon is close to Neptune and in sextile to Uranus in Taurus, the Sun trines Uranus (exactly on the 11th). The essential things are happening now right in the hubbub of everyday life, and those who find access to the stillness within themselves can receive important impulses. This strong receptivity remains active for a few days, and especially on September 17, when the Sun is opposite Neptune, your own boundaries might become all too permeable. Pay more attention than usual to your mental and physical boundaries and start supporting your immune system in the days before. On September 23, the Sun enters Libra, passing retrograde Mercury on its way back from Libra into Virgo. The following day, Venus forms an opposition with Neptune in Pisces. Saturn and Uranus

Although the Libra New Moon of September 25 brings a rather optimistic mood, it also marks the beginning of one of the most tense times of this year. The New Moon occurs in opposition to Jupiter, which forms a semisquare to both Saturn and Uranus (midpoint), thus activating the square between Uranus (renewal) and Saturn (security), which becomes (almost) exact for the last time in this cycle during the early days of October. The square will not be totally exact anymore, but with an orb of half a degree (on October 4) it is quite within the range of effectiveness. We unfortunately know the corresponding themes well enough from the three squares in February, June and December last year. A trial of strength between preserving and renewing forces is to be expected this time as well, although it is usually not clear who belongs to which pole.

On the 26th, the Sun reaches the exact opposition to Jupiter, and at the same time retrograde Mercury is conjunct Venus and trine Pluto in Capricorn. It is a powerful constellation in which much can be gained but also gambled away. True pioneers now dare to take a courageous first step and thus prepare the ground for others. However, some self-proclaimed revolutionaries could now turn out to be banal loudmouths without vision. Try to distinguish genuine enthusiasm from manipulative exuberance and consider carefully whether or not appearances are deceptive. In these days, you may have to act without really having a basis for decision. Trust your instincts.

Mars, Uranus, node in Taurus

We can expect plenty of excitement in the first few days of August. Mars, Uranus and the Moon's Node form a conjunction in Taurus during the first two days. Expect the unexpected, shakeups and proverbial or even real tremors during these days. Fortunately, the Sun is in a harmonious aspect with Jupiter in Aries. This time may well bring sudden breakthroughs and energetic progress for the better. However, what was already poorly established before could now collapse. In any case, the events of these days will have a great impact on the further events of the year and will affect many. At this time, foolish actions taken in the heat of the moment are dangerous and can have serious and lasting consequences.

Mercury enters Virgo on August 4.

It now becomes more apparent what has actually happened in the last few days. However, it is too early for a final judgment. Mars squares Saturn in Aquarius on August 7, which could put a strain on frustration tolerance. Venus in Cancer simultaneously makes a trine to Neptune in Pisces, an opposition to Pluto in Capricorn on the 9th, and then enters Leo on the 11th. Full moon in Aquarius

The climax of this time is the Aquarius Full Moon on August 12, which is conjunct Saturn and square Uranus and the Moon's Node. This highly charged quality of time is intense and challenging. However, with courage and determination, its creative potential can be liberated and utilized. An important step in a collective "birthing process" is now taking place, and as with a real birth, there is now only one possible direction of movement: forward. Stability now means surrendering to the flow of development while remaining focused. On August 14, when the Sun opposes Saturn and Mars reaches a trine to Pluto, the difference between real authority and authoritarian behavior could become clearly visible.

Mercury

The second half of the month is clearly marked by the activity of Mercury, the messenger of the gods. It trines Uranus and the lunar nodes on August 16, opposes Neptune on the 21st, and trines Pluto on the 22nd. Mars enters Gemini on August 20, and the Sun enters Virgo on the 23rd. Life continues, and dealing with day-to-day matters allows no delay, although much improvisational talent is now required. There is lively communication, although not everything that is proclaimed now will necessarily be true. Especially in the days of the New Moon on August 27, nerves could be raw. Mars is square to the New Moon, Venus forms a square to Uranus at the same time as well as an opposition to Saturn (exact on the 28th). Personal claims may have to be put aside, and sensitivities - one's own as well as those of others - may have to be endured.

Mars and Pluto

The quality of time in July is highly charged and somewhat volcanic. Unsettling or sudden unforeseen events could spur a development that requires a fundamental reassessment of the situation. Right at the beginning of the month, on July 2, fiery Aries Mars squares bone-hard Capricorn Pluto. There is power-conscious and assertive action, sometimes with open violence. Mercury in lively Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at this time, as well as trines Saturn in Aquarius. The quality of time could bring ambiguity and new hotbeds of conflict that need a lot of attention to keep them from escalating further. There are powerful forces at hand now, and some can accomplish almost superhuman things now.

Cancer

On July 5, Mars enters Taurus and Mercury enters Cancer. The tension of the last few days diminishes somewhat. The sensitive Cancer Sun squares Chiron in Aries on July 8, and Mercury is in tension with Jupiter on the 9th. Pain and hurt cannot be so easily suppressed now, risks must be reconsidered. The Capricorn Full Moon on July 13, in wide conjunction with Pluto, reveals that there will be no way back to the past. However, there is a large gap between desire and reality at this time, painfully noticeable especially on July 14, when the lighthearted Gemini Venus squares Neptune and unfounded hopes may vanish into thin air.

When Venus reaches sensitive Cancer on July 18, the quality of time changes significantly. The Sun is in trine to Neptune, Mercury opposes Pluto, the Moon makes a conjunction with Neptune, and Chiron becomes stationary retrograde a day later. It could be a moment of insight, when both the tragedy and the full potential of a situation can be recognized and felt. Then, when the Sun is in opposition to Pluto on July 20, someone exercises their authority.

Mars, Uranus and node

Things could happen in the last third of the month that will have a lasting impact on the rest of the year. On July 22, the Sun enters proud Leo. Mercury, which preceded it three days earlier, is in trine to Jupiter on July 23, heralding great things to come. Venus, which squares Jupiter on the 25th, also seems to be involved and is festively adorned. On July 26, Uranus and the Moon's Node are conjunct at 18° Taurus, Mercury squares Mars, which will also conjunct Uranus and the Moon's Node a few days later (August 1-2). Be prepared to be confronted with something totally unexpected during these days. Suddenly, something could happen that overturns all plans. It is worth noting that in this degree area in October, the square of Saturn and Uranus becomes almost exact for the last time. This month it is advisable to communicate sincerely and thoughtfully. Mercury turns direct on June 3 and makes a square to Saturn at the same time. Saturn, in turn, begins its long phase of retrograde one day later (until October 23). This is a good time to have serious conversations and finalize agreements. It may still take time to consider all eventualities, but with a realistic attitude, workable agreements are now possible even with difficult partners. On June 10, Mercury trines Pluto before entering Gemini on June 13. Then, an uncovered affair or a leaked secret could have consequences. Especially on June 12, when Venus conjoins Uranus in Taurus, this can cause serious upsets in relationships. Remain honest and sincere, and try to take any conflicts with your loved ones seriously. However, if you are open to new impulses in love, these days could be promising.

Mars and Chiron

June 14, there is a Full Moon in Sagittarius. It squares Neptune in Pisces, and a day later Mars conjoins Chiron in Aries. In this somewhat ambivalent quality of time, some aspire to accomplish great things. Success and failure are close together, and painful frustration is a distinct possibility. Some may resort to heroic myths to avoid possible feelings of shame, others stick to the motto "Do good and talk about it".

On June 16, the Sun squares Neptune and trines Saturn. Although there is a great deal of activity in many places, actual progress falls short of expectations. It often seems difficult to translate ideas into concrete action. Persistence is the key to success these days. With Venus square Saturn on June 18, some may want to secure success. However, the trine to Pluto on June 21 draws attention to the fact that first old debts must be settled and obligations honored. Only when Venus enters Gemini on June 23 will the quality of time become more lighthearted again.

Cancer

Also on June 21, the Sun enters the realm of emotional Cancer. Family issues, belonging and security are themes that will increasingly occupy us over the next few weeks, especially during the days of the June 29 New Moon. This New Moon is conjunct Lilith and square Jupiter. At the same time, a square of Mars and Pluto is building up, which is exact on July 2. It is therefore a tense time that could be followed by much turmoil. Someone may break unwritten rules of the game, causing great uncertainty. Practice serenity during these days.
