TRAPPED POWER

Here, thunder stands above the mountain.  To look at the hexagram another way, the  strength and power of the mountain is held inside by the thunder outside. At first glance, the mountain and thunder together seem to be a very powerful force indeed, but unfortunately the real strength is both trapped and sapped. The situation which you are concerned about has reached a stage where it has become weak and possibly lost its momentum. This is definitely not the time to embark on any new or large-scale enterprises because you will definitely misjudge your own capacity to deal with events. The best approach at the moment is to keep your head down and apply yourself vigorously to attending to detail. You may well find yourself out of your depth, and then the only way to deal with circumstances effectively is to be as modest and unassuming as possible.
